November 22

Time for a haircut! Watching baby Einstein on YouTube. He thinks all the little puppet noises are just hilarious!!

November 17

Today is World Prematurity Day. This is Jay at 1.5 months old and about 3 pounds on the day we met.

November 16

At dinner I was reminding the twins to close their mouths while chewing, as I could hear them "smacking" and JJ immediately starts smacking his lips on purpose!! Smart little dude!! And a stinker too!

November 14

Jay joining in on family movie night. He wasn't much impressed with Mr Rogers Neighborhood- too much talking! But he enjoyed his own little video, sitting in his basket. (The basket is allowing him a safe place to explore sitting alone, while still giving him support when he needs it. Think I might have to make him a cushion for it 😊)

November 9

Playing around with some standing while watching the bath water run for his bath. He's stabilized by my knees in front and back of his pelvis, but he's the one using his back to bring himself upright!!

November 4

4 years ago this week he was a very sick baby! Extremely lethargic, puking, and had a seizure. Hydrocephalus was the problem and took the local doctor way too long to figure that out. They only took a CT scan after I measured his head and found it was 2" bigger around than it had been 2 weeks before at his well checkup. On November 10th I took him to Vanderbilt, where we should've gone right away! They put him straight in the PICU and put in a shunt the next morning.

November 2

Sitting up alone for tiny bits of time!

On our way home from the dentist. He gave me an unexpected shock this weekend, when I found one of his top front teeth was almost loose enough to fall out!
😨 Called the dentist and went in for X-rays this afternoon, since he's never had them before. Sooo... His 2 front top teeth have basically no roots, didn't develop roots he said. So just being held in by gums, could come out any time. There are permanent teeth way way up in his gums, so they will not be coming in till he's about 7 years old or so. Looks like we'll just be partially toothless for several years
😏

October 31

A little trick or treating tonight with my music playing loud 😎

October 28

Took our fall pictures while we were in Asheville this week. I'm having a hard time choosing which ones I like best!

October 27

Another 3 days of lessons in Asheville

October 21

Mama did it!! It's good as new! Not sure why there's 2 screws leftover, but it seems to not need them...

October 20

One of my favorite toys was sadly in the wrong place at the right time yesterday. Mommy is desperately trying to save it!

October 20

My mommy came home last night, but I got a fever and puked several times before we got home from the airport 😞. Still a little fever going on today although I'm acting happier and eating some.

October 14

He LOVES to FaceTime with mama!!

October 9

Leaving for California today to begin the ABM Children's Mastery Program. So sad to be leaving my babies... This week has been full of editing the pages of instructions that I leave for the kids. I was amazed at the many changes I had to make to Jay's!! A lot of them had to do with food, as he is eating soooo much better than 6 months ago!!

September 27

Another weekend of lessons...

September 24

Our first ride at Hoofbeats of Hope! He was not overly thrilled, gonna take a few weeks till he gets accustomed to this new adventure.

September 23

Playing with some little friends. He thought this was quite hilarious!

September 23

Oh boy! We bought a helmet today to get ready for our first horseback riding adventure tomorrow. Jay and hats have never gotten along well together, so we're going to have to practice wearing the helmet. We tried wearing it in the car for a bit, and it ended up on his face (last picture) 😏

September 21

Had a busy morning at preschool, then to mama's meeting. Now he's taking a time out...

And ate an entire bowl of spaghetti this evening!!

September 9

Doing good today! And take a look at that 2nd picture! Sat up to play with his toy alone for about a minute! Hard work!

September 8

He's acting pretty much his normal self today, except for higher muscle tone than he's had for quite a while and not wanting to eat as well as he has these last few months. Hopefully these are still effects of the emergency seizure med which can stay in his system for 48 hours or longer.

September 7 (evening)

Sooo sleepy. We are nearly home now and he has literally slept the entire day. Diazepam obviously takes a good while to get out of your system. He's not himself yet, but he's breathing and looking at me and occasionally talking to me. Which I couldn't say this morning...
